Step back in time and celebrate the golden age of transport at our Vintage Weekend.

A spectacular event that brings together classic vehicles, historic locomotives and nostalgic charm across our beautiful Cotswold line

Throughout the weekend, our stations will come alive with activity as we showcase an impressive collection of vintage cars, motorbikes and heritage buses, alongside a full timetable of steam and diesel train services. Enjoy the sights, sounds and atmosphere of a bygone era as different forms of transport come together in one unforgettable celebration.

Take a ride behind one of our classic locomotives, and also No. W22 GWR Railcar - admire the gleaming road vehicles on display, or buy your train ticket and see what else is going along at the other stations. With themed displays, period music, stalls and refreshments, there is plenty for enthusiasts and families to enjoy.

What's on at our stations:

Broadway:

  • Take a short walk from our station into the Cotswold Village of Broadway

  • Our station shops will be open on the platform

  • See our latest work on our Platform 2 building

  • The Broadway Station tea room will be open serving light refreshments

Toddington:

  • Take an exclusive journey from Toddington-Hayles Abbey Halt on board No.22 GWR Railcar (Supplementary fare of £3 applies, available from Toddington Booking Office on the day)

  • Music stage featuring Lindsay Martin, Jazz Band over the weekend

  • The Charlbury Finstock Morris Dancers will feature on Sunday only between 12:30-1pm.

  • Over 100 vintage beautifully restored vehicles on display throughout the weekend

  • Toddington Narrow Gauge Railway and museum will be in operation

  • Look at our locomotive viewing gallery, plus Diesel Shed and go behind the scenes

  • Enjoy refreshments from The Cotswold Halt Cafe

  • Public parking will be in the field adjacent to Toddington Station

Winchcombe:

  • TRAINMASTER takes over the Tim Mitchell Building again! Perfect for the little ones to enjoy! 

  • Enjoy our model railway coach on Platform 2

  • Visit the GWSR Discovery coach on Platform 2

  • Small selection of vintage vehicles on display

  • Enjoy music on the platform from Tim Hoad 

  • Sit on the platform or inside our Coffee Pot Cafe on Platform 1

Gotherington goes back to World War II:

  • Enjoy the wonders of the privately owned Station and gardens at Gotherington. 

  • Enjoy live 1940s music from Victoria Lucie 

  • WW2 Army live demonstrations including 'How Does Artillery Work?' Ammunition demonstrations will take place at 11am and 2pm on both days. 

  • WW2 vehicles and cameos by professional re-enactors

  • Sit back and watch the trains go by and taste the delights of light refreshments on the platform

  • Turn your hand to the pump trolley or take a journey behind the Wickham Trolley on the private railway

Cheltenham Race Course:

  • Get up close and personal with our locomotives in the platform 

  • Light refreshments served by our Snacks By Tracks shop 

  • Photographic opportunities as the locomotives runs round the train

Bookings have now closed for vintage vehicle exhibits. Please note that we will not be able to accept cars that turn up on the day without booking in advance due to limited space available at Toddington Station.
