Refreshments on the Move

On selected services, our train includes a Buffet Car serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and cakes. It’s a lovely little extra for passengers who enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while watching the countryside drift by.

On selected days, groups can enjoy a closer look at the locomotives and carriages being restored and maintained by our volunteers — always popular with enthusiasts.

Hailes Abbey & Scenic Walks

For groups who enjoy heritage and gentle countryside strolls, Hailes Abbey is just a short walk from Hayles Abbey Halt. The surrounding footpaths offer beautiful views without strenuous walking.

Winchcombe & Sudeley Castle

Winchcombe’s historic centre and nearby Sudeley Castle make excellent additions to a day on the railway, combining heritage, gardens and quiet village charm.

Practical Information for Coach Operators

Simple Coach Parking & Drop-Off

Coach parking is available at Toddington Station, with easy access to the platform and clear space for loading and unloading. Drivers can drop passengers close to the entrance, making arrival smooth and comfortable for guests who prefer not to walk far.

Clear Timetables & Predictable Turnaround Times

Our services run to a reliable published timetable, making it easy to plan your day. Whether you choose a full return journey or a one-way trip paired with another stop, we can help you match the timings to your itinerary. 

Group Rates & Pre-Booked Seating

Parties of 10 or more passengers are eligible for discounted fares. When travelling by coach we offer concessionary travel to both coach drivers and tour guides. Wherever possible your seating will be reserved allowing your party to sit together throughout your journey. Group booking discounts, concessionary travel and seat reservations are only available for pre-booked parties. Terms and Conditions apply.

Refreshments

As part of your days visit to the railway, we can provide refreshments either at the tea rooms situated at Winchcombe, Broadway and Toddington Stations, or if you prefer, on the train itself while you are watching the countryside pass by. There are also refreshments available at Cheltenham Race Course Station. We pride ourselves that we are a volunteer run railway and as such all bookings for refreshments are subject to availability. Please also note that we will not be able to provide pre-booked on-train catering for groups at weekends or during the school summer holidays.

Our volunteers are experienced in welcoming coach groups. They’re on hand to help with directions, boarding assistance and any questions your passengers may have on the day.

Facilities Your Guests Will Appreciate

You’ll find toilets, seating areas, cafés and gift shops at key stations along the line, giving your group plenty of opportunities to rest, refresh and explore between trains.

What to Know Before You Travel

Arrival Time

Your group must arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before departure. Our trains run to a strict timetable and are unable to wait for late arrivals. If your group does miss a booked service, we will do our best to accommodate you on a later train, subject to available space. However, any pre-booked catering may not be available on a later service.

Group Discount

Parties of 10 or more passengers receive a 10% discount off standard fares. We also offer complimentary travel for both coach drivers and tour guides. Group discounts, complimentary travel and seat reservations are only available for pre-booked parties.

Catering

We can arrange refreshments at the tea rooms at Winchcombe, Broadway and Toddington, at Cheltenham Race Course Station, or on the train itself. As a volunteer-run railway, all catering bookings are subject to availability. Please note that pre-booked on-train catering for groups is not available at weekends or during the school summer holidays.

A final catering confirmation will be sent seven working days before travel. Your group will be charged based on the numbers confirmed at that point, even if fewer guests attend on the day.

Accessibility

Our heritage carriages have limited space for passengers with additional mobility needs. If anyone in your group requires special assistance, please let us know in writing when you book so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Changes, Cancellations and Refunds

All changes to your booking — including catering adjustments, date changes and cancellations — must be notified in writing at least 10 working days before travel.

Catering charges are based on the confirmed numbers at that 10-day point. No refunds are available for no-shows, partial groups or late cancellations of pre-paid bookings. If we need to cancel a service for reasons beyond our control, our liability is limited to a full refund of the amount paid.

Please check your booking confirmation carefully when it arrives — it is your responsibility to ensure all details have been recorded correctly.
