GWSR Bricks Weekend

Join us for a spectacular Bricks Weekend at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway – a family-friendly event celebrating all things brick-built! Whether you're a budding young builder or an adult enthusiast, this is a weekend packed full of imagination, engineering, and railway magic.

Your adventure begins on board one of our heritage steam or diesel trains. Sit back and enjoy the journey through the stunning Cotswold countryside as you travel between the event venues.

What’s On:

Toddington Station
Get hands-on and create your own masterpieces in our interactive brick-building zone. With tables full of bricks and creative stations, children (and grown-ups!) can build anything from locomotives to imaginary worlds. 
There will also be the opportunity to create some easter crafts, including an Easter Egg, Easter Hats, Colouring and Face Painting! 

Take a look around the Diesel Depot! We have one of the biggest fleets of diesels on a heritage railway. Come and see what we have to offer, from Class 47s, 37s, 20s, we have a lot to look at! 

Tim Mitchell Building, Winchcombe Station 
Marvel at fantastic brick-built displays created by talented model builders. Expect engines, railways, landscapes, buildings, and incredible custom creations that will inspire every visitor.

Cross over the footbridge to Platform 2 to enjoy the model railway coach! 

A Brick Adventure by Steam Train

Travel between Cheltenham Racecourse and Broadway on our beautifully restored carriages and enjoy a full day of fun across multiple locations. With activities at both Toddington and Winchcombe stations, there’s something to discover for all!
