Lineside Management Team

article by: Garry Owen

The Lineside management Team is a group of volunteers who like to get out into the far quiet reaches or our railway and look after our lineside vegetation. They open up the views from our trains that make our railway so attractive to our passengers and to photographers. Some use chain saws, for which they have been fully trained and some just want to make things tidy and keep the fires or shredders working. The work can be as strenuous as you want it to be and takes place mostly on Saturdays but midweek gangs can be arranged. Because you can be 'in the middle of nowhere' facilities are often non-existent.
