Last year, Rory Bremner visited the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway where he was treated to a footplate ride as part of his ITV series, ‘Rory Bremner’s Great British Views’. The series is now being broadcast - Cheltenham College to meet 'their' locomotive - 79 years late

This month, a 79-year omission will be put right when staff and pupils of Cheltenham College will get to meet 'their' locomotive at Cheltenham Racecourse station. Schools class no. 925 'Cheltenham', visiting the GWR for the Cotswold Steam Celebration, will unite the school and locomotive - something that happened with many of the famous public schools after which the engines were named when they were new, but never happened with 'Cheltenham' - Brian Peacey
